Questions? We've Got You Covered

We know hiring -- or becoming a childcare provider is a big deal. Here are some common questions we receive from families and nannies alike.

For Families

  • How long does the matchmaking process usually take?
  • Unfortunately, there is no precise answer, depending on what you're looking for, the time can vary, but we aim to make our process as efficient as possible so it should be no more than a few weeks.
  • What if the nanny placement doesn't work out?
  • It is very rare that a placement doesn't work out, given our thorough matching process, but unfortunately, these things do happen sometimes. In the chance that you find that your match didn't work out, we will review what happened and either provide you with a free or discounted replacement match if we find that you weren't at fault. This is also dependent on the package you sign up for.
  • Are your caregivers CPR-certified or trained in first aid?
  • Most caregivers do come with this training, and if they don't, they're almost always willing to obtain it. We will specify otherwise.

  For Caregivers

  • Do I need formal caregiving experience to apply?
  • No, that's what beautiful about our process! Caregiving can seem like such a hard field to break into, but honestly most of us get useful experience in our everyday lives, we work to help draw that experience out to show you how qualified you already are! We also provide additional training with childcare professionals if you need more experience, so don't worry, we've got you!
  • What kind of families do you work with?
  • We work with all kinds of families with varying needs, our only requirement is that familied come prepared to respect you as a caregiver and the value you will provide, as you will to them.
  • Will you help me negotiate pay and expectations?
  • Of course! Part of our onboarding support is helping you draft a contract and handbook that will outline those things clearly. We encourage caregivers to have at least a general idea of what they'd like to be paid so that we only match them with families prepared to do that. Again, we make everything clear in the materials mentioned above so you won't have to approach it on your own, we're in this together!
  • Do I get to choose which families I interview with?
  • Absolutely, that's another thing that sets us apart! Before setting up an interview we will send over the file of a family that is interested in you that will give you a holistic view of what they're looking for in a caregiver, their values, home environment, etc., that way you can decide if it feels like a good match.

Logistics

  • Are your services only available in Charlotte?
  • Right now, we only service Charlotte and surrounding areas, but we are looking to expand very soon. Please feel free to email me to express interest in having our service expand to your area, I'd love to hear from you!
  • Do you offer virtual interviews or consultations?
  • Yes, most of our communication takes place virtually actually, in an effort to make it easier to fit into your schedule. We do provide in person meetings on a by need basis.
  • What is the cost of your services?
  • Our service is completely free for caregivers and for families we offer a flat rate price depending on your desires, which we would discuss on your consultation call. There is a small deposit required to reserve our services, which will be subtracted from the total cost, and that will only be expected once we make a successful match. Compared to the salary-based pricing of other agencies, our pricing is very competitive, so please book a call to learn more!
  • How do I get started?
  • To get started, feel free to learn more about how our service can benefit you on the "For Families" or "For Caregivers" pages. We've linked the relevant onboarding/interest form there and after you fill that out, we will be in touch to get things started!
